PTE Patch 6.0 Online Mode
The PTE Patch 6.0 Online mode is included in the PTE Patch program selector. This PTE Patch program selector allows you to switch between the Offline mode and the Online mode. So you can change game modes easily with one click.
PTE Patch 6.0 Online mode actually has 2 modes:
- Online Default mode (to play PES 2016 without any PTE Patch features).
- Online Licensed mode (to play PES 2016 with Licensed Kits and names).
Keep in mind that when you activate the PTE Patch 6.0 Online mode, the PTE patch features will not work online (there will be no Full Bundesliga, no new balls, no new stadiums, no new team.. etc).
To activate the Online Licensed mode for the PTE Patch 6.0 just follow these easy steps:
- Run the PTE patch program as administrator.
- Click on “Game Mode”.
- Click on “Online Licensed”.
- Click on “OK” to save.
- Run the PES 2016 Game with Steam.

PTE Patch 6.0 Online Fix
When you switch between Offline mode and Online mode in the PTE Patch program, a file called “EDIT00000000” will change.
If you go to this path “Documents/Konami/PES2016/Save” , you will see that when activating the Offline mode you will find “EDIT00000000” file. And when you activate the Online Licensed mode you will find ” EDIT00000000ON ” file.
Sometimes when you activate the PTE Patch 6.0 Online Licensed mode, the EDIT00000000 can not be changed to EDIT00000000ON because of some windows access restrictions. To fix that error just follow these steps below carefully:
- Activate Online Licensed with PTE program (run it as admin).
- Go to this path in your PC : Documents/Konami/PES2016/Save.
- Cut the EDIT00000000 file.
- Paste it in another folder (move it to desktop for example).
- Run the PES 2016 with Steam.
That will fix the PTE Patch 6.0 Online error of “Unable to connect to Opponent” or “Unable to join session”. Because that EDIT00000000 will activate all the PTE Patch features, which is not compatible with Online mode.

After playing the Online mode, if you want to activate all the PTE patch features again just Click on Offline mode from the PTE Patch program. Then check if you can find that EDIT00000000 file in the ” Documents/Konami/PES2016/Save ” path.
If you don’t find that EDIT00000000 file then just copy it again from where you pasted it in the previous step number 4. Make sure you never delete that file, because deleting it will require installing the PTE Patch 6.0 again.
